No, the cost is for an entire family of up to 10 members
How much does the call and SMS's cost?
The panic call is free, and we do not charge for any SMS's we send on your behalf
Will it tell me "who" pressed their panic button in my family?
Yes, the alert recipients will be given the name and cell phone number of the family member that hit their panic button
Will the rest of the "family members" get the alerts too?
No, you must add your family members as alerts if you choose to
Will this work if I am not at home?
It can as long as someone knows where you are going, but remember this is primarily home based hence "Home911"
Can I link this to my armed response?
yes as long as your security company has our software, they will also receive your panic alert!
How long does it take for all the alert recipients to get my panic sms?
It gets sent to all your alerts within 30 secs, networks permitting
Why the number 5 speed dial button?
The number 5 button has a "blind" aid, normally a little ridge so you can feel it without looking! However if you do not use your speed dial function, then a neat trick is to program all the buttons from 2-0 that way you can just hold down any button!
What if I bump my number 5 button by mistake?
Most phones will not make a call unless you "hold down" the button for longer than 2 seconds, making it very difficult to do it by mistake
How do I program the speed dial?
Please go to your phone manufacturers website to get this info
Why must I add *31# in front of 0824814499?
If you have switched off your CLI, we won't know who is calling, *31# forces the CLI through for that one call
Will it work if I have no air time?
No, although the call is free, your network needs to believe you can actually make a call!
Will it work if my hand set is locked?
No, you must unlock your phone whenever you feel unsafe
After I have subscribed, how long will it take for me to use the system?
Approximately 15 minutes, you will receive an sms telling you that you are active. If you do not get an SMS then email support@home911.co.za

Once I have subscribed how do I change my alert recipients or family members?
You will be sent a user manual, the main member will be able to add and delete family members or alert recipients in seconds!
Will my alert recipients be told I have added them?
Yes, they will be sent an sms on your behalf
How do I test the system once it is active?
You SMS the word "test" to our server and your Home 911 will be put into test mode. If you forget to reactivate we will automatically activate it after 1 hour!
